Features of passenger elevator car guide shoe SG-27
2025-12-25
The guide shoe is a guiding device that allows the elevator guide rail to slide directly with the car or counterweight. It stabilizes the car or counterweight on the guide rail, allowing it to slide only up and down, and prevents the car or counterweight from deflecting or swaying during operation. An oil cup can be installed on the upper part of the guide shoe to reduce the friction between the shoe lining and the guide rail. When using the guide shoe, one elevator is installed with 8 pieces, 4 pieces for each of the car and counterweight, installed on the top and bottom of the car or counterweight.
The guide shoe is composed of a shoe lining, a base, shock-absorbing rubber, etc., and can be divided into rolling guide shoes and sliding guide shoes.
Rolling guide shoes are generally used in elevators with a speed of ≥2m/s. Their characteristic is that there is rolling friction between the guide shoe and the guide rail, with a relatively low friction coefficient, resulting in less wear, reduced vibration and noise during operation, and improved riding comfort. Rolling guide shoes generally do not require the installation of oil cups, do not need oil lubrication, and do not cause oil pollution to the car roof and pit, making them more environmentally friendly.
Sliding guide shoes are divided into fixed sliding guide shoes and elastic sliding guide shoes, which are generally suitable for elevators with a speed of ≤2.5m/s. Fixed sliding guide shoes are generally used for counterweights, while elastic sliding guide shoes are generally used for carriages and counterweights with higher speeds. Sliding guide shoes need to be used in conjunction with oil cups.
The installation of the guide shoe must meet the following requirements:
After the upper and lower guide shoes are installed in place, they should be aligned on the same vertical line, without any tilt or twist, to ensure that the upper and lower guide shoes align with the center of the safety gear jaw at three points.
After the guide shoe is installed, the left and right gaps between the guide rail and the shoe lining should be equal and fall within the range of 0.5~2mm, and the gap between the shoe lining and the top surface of the guide rail should also be within the range of 0.5~2mm.
