The guide shoe is a sliding guide device directly between the elevator guide rail and the car or counterweight. It can stabilize the car or counterweight on the guide rail, allowing it to only slide up and down, preventing the car or counterweight from deflecting or swinging during operation. An oil cup can be installed on the upper part of the guide shoe to reduce the friction between the shoe liner and the guide rail. When using guide shoes, 8 pieces are installed for one elevator, 4 pieces each for the car and counterweight, which are installed on the top and bottom of the car or counterweight.
The guide shoe consists of a shoe liner, base, shock-absorbing rubber, etc., and can be divided into rolling guide shoes and sliding guide shoes.
Rolling guide shoes are generally used for elevators with a speed ≥ 2m/s. Their characteristic is that there is rolling friction between the guide shoe and the guide rail, with a relatively low friction coefficient and less wear, which reduces vibration and noise during operation and improves riding comfort. Rolling guide shoes generally do not require oil cups, do not use oil lubrication, will not bring oil pollution to the car top and pit, and are relatively environmentally friendly.
Sliding guide shoes are divided into fixed sliding guide shoes and elastic sliding guide shoes, which are generally suitable for elevators with a speed ≤ 2.5m/s. Fixed sliding guide shoes are generally applied to counterweights, and elastic sliding guide shoes are generally applied to cars and counterweights with higher elevator speeds. Sliding guide shoes need to be used with oil cups.
The installation of guide shoes must meet the following requirements:
1、 After the upper and lower guide shoes are installed in place, they should be on the same vertical line, without skew or torsion, to ensure that the upper and lower guide shoes and the center of the safety jaw form a straight line of three points.
2、 After the guide shoe is installed, the left and right gaps between the guide rail and the shoe liner should be equal, which should be 0.5~2mm, and the gap between the shoe liner and the top surface of the guide rail should be 0.5~2mm.
